History of Adidas Campus
Adidas Campus has an interesting history that dates back to the 1970s when they were originally designed for basketball courts. But it wasn't until the 80s that they really started to gain ground and became a symbol of streetwear culture.
It was in the hip-hop district that Campus found their footing and quickly achieved iconic status, mainly thanks to their association with the legendary Beastie Boys. They even made it onto the cover of their legendary 1992 album 'Check Your Head', where these shoes are featured beautifully.
But not only hip-hop fans liked Campus. Even the skate culture started to use them. Last year, adidas revived the legendary Campus 00s model, which is undoubtedly one of the most worn models this season. They have already been the subject of collaborations with big streetwear names such as Bape and the king of Latin-trap, Bad Bunny. Their success is largely aided by the trend of "chunky" sneakers and oversize styles, as their chunky shape goes well with baggy jeans and other baggy pants.
